The Book of Days…part xxxi
The Book of Days
The dawn’s early light can be pleasure enough for the whole day.
Of course, there are words enough to tell the story of “the temptation of day to come.”
It is my delight to write some of them for your delectation.
Vadis
The scant flourish of early dawn
embraces the silhouette of distant trees
that guard the crest of Advent Hill,
and stand their ground as brights of day
invade the dark to light my way
and chase the night that hid the trees
that have no place to go.
